2020 12u & 14u Monster Invitational 4gg Tournament

One Day - Sunday March 15, 2020

The Monster Invitational is the premier indoor event at the best facility in Ohio, the YSU WATTS Center, in Youngstown, Ohio.

Proceeds benefit the YSU ENACTUS student group and support their charitable activities.

This event is a 1-day event costs $550 (4gg).

3 PP with single elimination.

Teams must request an application by emailing eventbymonster@gmail. for application. The committee labors to select the best teams.

Application receipt w/ payment deadline by Jan 25, 2020.

Section notification sent by Feb 1, 2020.

Schedule and info package emailed by Feb 8, 2020.

Only the top 10u & 12u teams will be selected to compete.

Selection committee consists of individuals in and out of this area.

Had about 28 teams apply last year and expect similar interest in 2020.

Since there are two dates in 2020 and 12u is playing both dates, a 12u team may apply for one or both (two separate tournaments) events and be selected for one or both. There will be the potential to mark date preferences on the 12u application.

  • 4GG, weather not an issue
  • 3 pp with single elimination
  • Taking top 8-10 teams (appx.) across divisions
  • Facility will open at about 7 am (play expected to begin at 8 am)
  • Play may go late on Sunday but will try to get younger girls out sooner
  • PP Format will be 65 min, drop per ASA rules so we can play as many games as possible and keep the schedule on a 75 minute cycle
  • PP can end in tie
  • Seeding based on ... Record, H2H (2 teams only), RA, RD (8 max), RS, Coin Flip
  • Facility has rules of no outside food ... student run concession will be on site
  • Championship be scheduled to be as long as possible (up to 7 innings) in order to maximize play and facility but may need to be drop dead as well.
  • Free defensive substitutions
  • All teams must have insurance (turned in), ASA number, and concussion
  • Team check-in upon arrival
  • One umpire per game
  • Team and individual awards for 1st and 2nd
